Corto Maltese, the creation of Hugo Pratt, celebrated his 125 birthday this past week.
According to Pratt, he was born in La Valletta, Malta, on July 10, 1887, the son of a British sailor and an Andalusian fortune teller.
If you visit the hotel, ask permission at the concierge desk and you can also admire the winter garden designed by landscape architect Pietro Porcinal (1910-1986) with 36 different varieties of tropical plants. The winter garden looks into the Papadopoli Park.
