Less than 200 years old, the Chiesa del SS. Nome di Gesù (Church of the Saintest Jesus' Name) is one of the latest additions to the collection of churches in Venice. A neo-classical building, the work of Giannantonio Selva and Antonio Diedo, with a distinct coffered ceiling that offers a home to one of our lions.

The other lion looks mad and perhaps with a reason. It's facing one of the most unrecognizable areas of Venice to any visitor from the past, the Canale Santa Chiara.
