Corte Marcona, off Crosera, Dorsoduro, 3881. The name derives from Marco Mallacarne, known as "Marcon" because of its size. He was in the business of transporting pilgrims to Jerusalem in the 16th century. The family was originally from Florence, having arrived in Venice in the 13th century.
