Palazzo Gussoni on Rio de la Fava from Sotoportego Zocchi. The beautiful Renaissance façade of the palazzo (end of XVth cent.) is attributed to Pietro Lombardo and his school. The intricate carvings around the openings, similar to other works of the Lombardo school such as those found in Santa Maria dei Miracoli and San Lio, gave me the clue to locate the spot. The palazzo can be admired from Ponte S. Antonio at the end of Calle de la Bissa on your way from San Bartolomeo to San Lio (the picture below is also posted in the Castello section of "Hidden Corners"). Sotoportego e Corte Zocchi is off Calle de la Bissa. Is this actually the lowest sotoportego in Venice?
